About us
Built in the 1900s the Old Ship Aground is a charming
privately owned pub that is full of character. Still
retaining features such as beams and high ceilings in
the bedrooms, The Old Ship Aground is a traditional
family pub offering good food and accommodation.
Located in the historic harbour area of Minehead, just
below North Hill, the Old Ship Aground was originally
called the Pier Hotel.

Traditionally linked with the local fishermen,
the pub still retains connections with the sea
and can organise local fishing trips.
